Over the six-week long season of the League, users could create teams, consisting of Kasabian tracks. During the season, there were two transfer windows, allowing users to strategically switch out any underperforming players within their teams.
Performance of each track was based on Streams per Listener, calculated weekly from Spotify statistics.
To ensure reliability and good performance, front-end of the app had been build on top of Vue.js framework. On server side, we’ve built dedicated WordPress plugin, integrated with Spotify API.
Communication between client app and the server had been based on WP REST API v2 bindings.
During six weeks of the season, over 3 thousand Kasabian’s fans took part in the competition. Winners were awarded with VIP access to see Kasabian at Reading & Leeds 2017.
